Arrezzo

Arrezzo is a striking stallion of modern type and correct conformation. He continues to stand out by not only his incredibly light and ground-covering breathtaking movement, but also by his unbeatable temperament. In 2019, Arrezzo was awarded Reserve National Champion Stallion by the CWHBA based on his scores at the stallion licensing and was also awarded silver premium performance status with the Canadian Sport Horse Association.
Arrezzo started his career in the 4 & 5 year old FEI Dressage classes where he consistently received scores in the 70s. Since then, he has pursued a career in the hunter ring where he continues to shine in the Open Green and Amateur Owner divisions. He is valued in the hunter ring for his 10+ technique over fences, incredible presence and hack-winning movement. Although campaigned primarily in the hunter ring, Arrezzo has plenty of scope and is one of the most careful jumpers out there. In the dressage ring, Arrezzo is praised for his natural swing and elasticity of gaits, and superb hind-end drive.
Arrezzo continued his performance career in the 3'6 First Year Green Hunter Division in 2021 with rider and owner, Tara Wieben and was awarded reserve champion at Thunderbird show park and Champion at RMSJ.

Beyond Arrezzo's value as a performance horse, the true marker of a good breeding stallion lies in the quality of his offspring. On this marker alone, Arrezzo has continually proven to be a phenomenal breeding stallion, always throwing exceptional offspring no matter the mare he is crossed with. He continues to stamp his foals with his characteristic beautiful refined head, of which he scored a 9.5 on at the CWHBA stallion licensing, lovely length of neck, kind disposition, floaty trot and rocking-horse canter. He is an excellent choice to add refinement and type to larger mares, however, he has also proven to add bone and substance to lighter type mares as well. His offspring are not only eye-catching and athletic but they are conformationally correct with excellent feet and superb trainability. As an added bonus Arrezzo has proven to throw chrome in his offspring, with several foals out of plain mares sporting belly spots and tall white stockings.
Arrezzo's oldest foal crop were started under saddle in 2020 and beyond impressed us with their ease of trainability, natural balance, quality of movement and superb jumping technique. His oldest offspring are now successfully competing in the hunter, dressage, jumper and eventing rings with junior/amateur riders and professionals alike. If you are looking to produce a stunning hunter jumper or dressage prospect with an exceptional amateur-friendly temperament, Arrezzo is the stallion for you. Pedigree

Arrezzo is sired by the GOV premium stallion, Soprano. Soprano himself had a successful career in the dressage ring at the Prix St. Georges level under Andreas Helgstrand and is sired by the legendary Sandro Hit who is one the world's most influential dressage sires. His grandsire, Sandro, was a champion 1.60m jumper. Soprano's damsire, Contender, has continually been one of the world's leading jumping sires and has produced 127 approved sons in Europe and North America. Arrezzo's dam, Katz Kyra, is a premium Trakehner mare who showed early success in both the dressage and the jumper rings before an untimely injury limited her career to a broodmare. Arrezzo's damsire, Katalac, was the former foundation sire of Katalac Sport Horses who was valued for his consistent production of conformationally correct and atheltic offspring with outstanding temperaments and trainability. Arrezzo's lines also go back to the notable, Tin Rocco and Ramino, who were both successful 1.50m jumpers.
