Azura had a late start to no fault of her own, but due to our own time commitments and previous intentions to retain her for breeding. However, she was started under saddle in fall of 2023 and is proving to be no different than her siblings, blowing us away by her trainability and easy going disposition. After only 3 rides she was confidently going under saddle walk/trot in the arena. She has a soft mouth and is responsive to the aids, but will likely develop into more of a kick ride type as she progresses. Her training will continue in spring of 2024 and we expect her to progress quickly. Good for the farrier, trailering, excellent ground manners and no vices.
This mare is regretfully offered for sale at a reduced price due to our need to cut back on numbers and make room for other young ones coming up. She would be an excellent investment project for a professional on a budget, Versace sold for $65k USD after only 3 months under saddle. While she is a bit smaller than Versace she is all the same quality and we have no doubt has scope for the 3'6 hunters. Price subject to increase with training.
Azura is a lovely quiet mare with an excellent amateur or junior friendly mind. She has beautiful ground covering movement at all three gaits and perfect hunter technique in the chute. She is a full sibling to previous sales gelding, Versace KSH who is currently being successfully campaigned on the California hunter circuit and 3/4 sibling to Kinder KSH who is being shown in the 3ft hunters by a junior rider in Calgary. We have found this cross has consistently produced beautiful small jr hunter prospects with exceptional trainability and amazing amateur and kid friendly temperaments.
